A common derivative of Tahini apart from the popular Hummus is Tahini Sauce. It is one sauce, which I bet, tastes differently at different places as there is no one standard way of preparing this dip.
Needless to say, tahini is the base for Tahini sauce imparting its characteristic nutty flavour to the sauce. Along with it, we use garlic, few strands of coriander leaves, few drops of lemon juice and of course a pinch of salt!!! Grind them all together – Tadaa… Tahini sauce is ready!!! You may dilute it as per your taste and requirement.
Optionally, you may even use Greek yogurt with tahini to arrive at the Tahini Sauce. It tastes heavenly. I have tried out different ways to prepare tahini sauce and each time, I loved its taste, but the one with Greek yogurt is my favorite!!!

Tahini Sauce stories:
Tahini by itself has a strong nutty flavour and is slightly bitter. I for one, love to use it in all possible dips that I prepare. Whenever I have less time, I go ahead and mix it with Greek yogurt and salt, and use it. It’s simple yet tasty. Whenever I have the luxury of some more time, I quickly run the mixer and go with the above recipe for the tahini sauce!!!
is thud a GermAN specific dish?
